A Royal Decree for the Faithful in Christ:

Whereas, the Holy Scriptures testify to the wiles of the adversary, who cometh but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10), and

Whereas, our forefathers in faith, from Samson to the saints, have encountered the snares laid by this ancient foe, who transforms himself into an angel of light offering false escapes from trials (2 Corinthians 11:14),

Whereas, our Lord Jesus Christ hath shown perfect victory through reliance on the Word of God, overcoming the tempter’s lures by the power of Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11), and

Whereas, we are called to not only survive but also to thrive, standing fast in the faith once delivered unto the saints, arrayed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11, Jude 1:3),

Now, Therefore, I Decree and Declare:

  • Perception of Temptation: Let every believer be endowed with the spirit of discernment, that we may recognize the subtle shifts of shadows where the tempter lurks, promising liberation but plotting bondage. As the eyes of Elisha’s servant were opened to behold the heavenly hosts, so may our eyes be opened to perceive the spiritual realities that guide our steps (2 Kings 6:17, 1 Corinthians 12:10).
  • Resistance to the Deceiver: Armed with the whole armor of God, girded in truth, shielded by faith, and helmeted with salvation, let us stand resolute against the fiery darts of the wicked. As our Savior countered deception with divine decrees, let the Word dwell richly in us, quick on our lips and steadfast in our hearts (Ephesians 6:14-17, Colossians 3:16).
  • Overcoming Power: By the authority vested in us through Christ Jesus, who overcame the world, let every foothold of the enemy be rebuked and every stronghold be dismantled. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment, we shall condemn (John 16:33, Isaiah 54:17).
  • Endurance to the End: Strengthened by the Spirit’s might, let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We declare that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us (Hebrews 12:1-2, Romans 8:37).
  • Proclamation of Victory: As our Lord hath triumphed, so too shall His church. Let us boldly declare the works of the Lord, proclaiming His kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom endures from generation to generation (Matthew 6:10, Daniel 4:34).

Thus Declared, on this day, empowered by the Spirit, committed to the cause of Christ, and united in the fellowship of the saints, we stand as witnesses to the light that darkness cannot overcome, bearers of the eternal promise that in God, we have all we ever need (John 1:5, 2 Peter 1:4).
