Have you ever needed to make important decisions in your life, and wonder, "Am I considering what God thinks of my decisions?

Take a look at these 8 principles that is a tremendous guideline to consider in making decisions. They will lead you to Biblical Integrity. Hope they help! Love to all!


1. SCRIPTURAL TEST

 
  • Has God already spoken about it in His Word?
  • 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
     
2. SECRECY TEST
 
  • Would it bother me if everyone knew this was my choice?
  • Proverbs 11:3 "The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them."
     
3. SURVEY TEST
 
  • What if everyone followed my example?
  • 1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
     
4. SPIRITUAL TEST
 
  • Am I being people pressured or Spirit led?
  • Gal 1:10 "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
     
5. STUMBLING TEST
 
  • Could this cause another person to stumble?
  • Rom 14:21 "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."
     
6. SERENITY TEST
 
  • Have I prayed and received peace about this decision?
  • Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
     
7. SANCTIFICATION TEST
 
  • Will this keep me from growing in the character of Christ?
  • 2nd Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
     
8. SUPREME TEST
 
  • Does this glorify God?
  • 1st Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
