Jesus Christ, At Your Service!

John 13:4–10 puts the towel in the hands of the King. Jesus rose from supper, laid aside His garments, girded Himself, poured water into a bason, and washed feet. That scene is not small. It is the heartbeat of the Kingdom. Jesus demonstrated for us that the posture of Kingdom living is not ruling from thrones but washing feet. Peter objected. “Thou shalt never wash my feet.” Jesus answered with weight and warning. “If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” The Lord is not asking for spectators. He is calling servants.
This message carries one line like a banner. We don’t Dress to Impress; We dress to BE PRESSED! The towel leads somewhere. The basin points forward. The Spirit turns our eyes to Gethsemane. Pressure comes. Demands come. Surrender gets tested. Jesus prayed, “nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” He prayed it three times. The Lord taught us that surrender stays in the fight. It stays on its face. It stays until the will bows.
Now the application gets close. The outer layer of the grape fights for survival. It wants control. It wants comfort. It wants the final word. That fight shows up as grudges, gripes, and grabs for power. That skin must be crushed under the pressure of surrender if God is to get the glory. Self-preservation invites rot. Crushing yields new wine. The Holy Spirit fills what self stops guarding. God gets The Glory.
Listen below and let the Lord settle the will.
