God’s Vision for Every Church...
The Indwelling of The Holy Spirit
Published: 1-4-2026
Romans 8:9 lays it down plain. If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are in the Spirit. You belong to Christ. That means the Christian life is not something you “try harder” to pull off. It is something you yield to. This message drives one line like a stake in the ground: the Christian life is ours to yield, and Christ’s to live. When the Holy Ghost moves in, He does not sit quietly in the background. He takes control. He empowers. He directs. He lays claim to the tongue so the Gospel can be spoken with boldness.
Acts shows the pattern. Wait. Receive. Yield. The Holy Spirit leads with precision, and He sends with purpose. He knows who is ready, where the seed has already been planted, and when the moment is ripe. The promised result is power for witness. “Ye shall receive power… and ye shall be witnesses” (Acts 1:8). God’s vision for the church is not dry machinery. God’s vision is living ministry, living witness, and a living Christ made visible through surrendered people.
Listen below and ask the Lord to fill you fresh. Let Him turn your tongue loose for Jesus. Let Him give our church a year of harvest.
Preached by Pastor Gary Caudill from the pulpit of Washington Heights Baptist Church of Thomson GA on 1-4-2026 during our Sunday Morning worship service.
