Unwavering Faith in the Face of Trials

Job 13:15  Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Now that, my friend, is FAITH!  Someone once said, “True faith is trusting and obeying the Lord, regardless of the circumstances or consequences.”  This is definitely the kind of resolve Job is modeling in our text!  Today, would you be willing to have that same resolve in your spirit as Job did?  That, even if things are not going well, you’ll still trust in the Lord?
This world is not impressed with “fair weather” Christians, but “tried and proven” Christians!  “God, grant us the grace to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, and serve You regardless of what’s happening around us, in us, or to us!”

Let me remind you that when you’re in your darkest trial is when your testimony of His enduring strength shines the most!  Out of tragedy comes triumph, and out of travail comes new birth!  This could be the very hour that your diligence pays off, that your faithfulness is rewarded, that your prayers are answered, and that your lost friends and loved ones are paying the most attention, waiting to be swayed towards Christ by your expected victory!

Child of God, be not afraid nor discouraged, for your Heavenly Father will see you through!  Tell yourself, your brethren, and your enemies, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!” See also Daniel 3:16-18.

Dan 3:16  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17  If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18  But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
