Empowered by Anointing: God's Call for Every Believer

Leviticus 8:12 And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

God anoints His servants for a specific task He has assigned to them. In Aaron’s case, he was to be the high priest. What is the case in your life? Has God called you to a task that is humanly impossible? Then seek His anointing at once and He shall fill you to overflowing, thereby supplying you with the wisdom and power you need to do His will! We as Christians MUST seek His anointing if we are to be as effective as God intends for us to be in reaching others with the good news of Jesus Christ!

Do not think that the anointing is limited to a select few; rather, the anointing is the act of being filled to overflowing with the Holy Ghost. Then God’s Spirit can work through you to effectively reach those around you who have yet to trust Christ, and to bless and encourage those who have! It makes no difference whether you’re a pastor, Sunday school teacher, or layperson in the church...you need God’s power as provided by the anointing in order to be what God has specifically called you to be and to do what God has specifically called you to do!

Again, the Spirit-filled life is for EVERY believer! Jesus said, “Without me, ye can do nothing!” (John 15:5). It is safe then to conclude that we need HIS power to perform the assignment He has for us, and that comes only with the anointing. The challenging part for many Christians is that they may be unwilling to allow God to “set them apart” for His use! It’s easy to get caught up in our own plans, dreams, and ambitions! “God, help us all today to be willing to be set aside, specifically for YOUR use in YOUR glorious kingdom!”
