Discover the Depth of God's Delight in Your Prosperity

Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

“Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” PLEASURE: desiring, delighting in, the gratification of the senses or of the mind; the excitement, relish or happiness produced by enjoyment or the expectation of good; opposed to pain. What the will dictates or prefers; will; choice; purpose; intention; command;

I just gave you a mixture of the meanings of the word PLEASURE from both the Hebrew dictionary as well as from the Webster’s 1828 dictionary. I find the word quite profound, don’t you?

In a world where unworthy sinners recognize their vile condition outside of God’s Grace, it is difficult for us to even imagine prospering at the hands of a Holy God, due to the fact that we were so wretched when He found us in our sin. Furthermore, it is even more difficult to understand that instead of giving us what we deserve, God in His grace chooses rather to give us what only Christ His Son deserves, if we but call on Him in repentant faith! THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

To go from Hell-deserving to Heaven-bound in a single blood-bought transaction is proof sure that it is God’s full intent to save such as call upon Him. Do not make the mistake of assuming that this Gospel, this good news, is too good to be true! In any other instance it would be, but not here, and not now, for we are not preaching a man-made fairy tale, but we are preaching the very Word of God our Creator.

Know this; that when you accept Christ as your Saviour through faith in His name, you are then and there placed up under the very FAVOR of God the Father. From this point on, you are an heir with Christ of all that His blood and righteousness purchased on your behalf! And the best part is, nothing brings God any more pleasure than for you to prosper by His provisions.

So the next time the devil tells you how undeserving you are of God’s blessings, you just remind the devil you aren’t operating under what YOU deserve, but what JESUS CHRIST deserves and intentionally shares with you! When this truly hits us, we should NEVER, EVER doubt God’s intentions to bless again!
